It was 3 am when you came home. You were tipsy for the first time in a while, and you were planning on drinking some water and going to bed before you heard noises from upstairs. It didn't sound like pain, so you got some water and drank and refilled it before you walked upstairs. As you ascended the stairs, the noise became clearer and clearer before you realized it was a heavy shuffling noise. Was someone pacing? You head back to your room for a quick moment to put down the water before heading back into the hallway. Whose room was it coming from? You wanted to help them, it was 3 am and it sounded like they were groaning. Whatever they were thinking about, it must have been frustrating.

You walk down the hall before stopping in front of the familiar door of Axe, where the noise was coming from, and knock on the door, causing the noises to stop. You heard some more shuffling, cloth like this time, before the door opened a crack, and a red eye peered out.

"You ok? Sounded like you were pacing around the room." You whisper. Axe takes his usual moment of pause before answering.

"Yeah. Was just… thinking about… something."

"Wanna talk about it?"

"... No."

"...Would you like anything to help you?"

"Youuu-… uh." He pauses, rethinking his words. A common action for your friend.

"One of… your hugs… would be nice." Axe finally answers. You smile, a rarity of yours now mostly given to Axe, and nod.

Axe cracks the door open further, and you duck under his arm to come in. Knowing him, he was likely to ask to snuggle after.
