It started with you being very tired and lonely one night. As such, you made some rash decisions. The first, go downstairs at night, where the skeletons that hate you are probably drinking coffee to stay awake. The second was not turning around when you saw that the only skeleton there was the one most likely to eat you, staring off to space. The third was walking over to him, after noticing he looked sad, and with the last rash decision, you offered him a hug, in your own silent way.
This was not to say any of these decisions ended up badly, quite the opposite, but a lot could have gone wrong.
The skeleton, Axe, lowered his head to look at you, with your arms raised above your head. An odd way of offering hugs, admittedly, but you were 5'4 and he was 6'3. If you wanted to actually hug him, you'd need to be picked up.
Axe stared at you for a moment, trying to click together what you meant, before picking you up. Finally, that chance to hug him. You take it, and note he smells of apples. Nice. He stiffens before giving in and wrapping his arms around you.
