You bite into the yellow to orange to red orb in your hand. Your teeth crash through the crystalline sugar outer shell, your mouth filling lightly with lemon on its impact, as your teeth tear through the inner part of the orb. It’s inside feels like you tore through jelly, with how easy it was, but your teeth and lips feel nothing of the sticky gooey feeling of jelly, and instead felt like a very soft jelly like gummy. The taste of its flesh fills your mouth, lightly at first. Orange mainly, a little mango, a little bit of paprika, and an almost overwhelming taste of sweet. So sweet that if sugar rushes were real, you’d be having one right now, with just your first bite. You swallow, feeling it go down your throat, solid, but not solid enough to ever hurt, like it could fill your stomach with the single bite. It doesn’t though, so you go for another.
This time, the sweetness has lessened, but the orange has taken its place, along with something bitter that hadn’t been there before, to ground the taste. Almost like dark chocolate, but less creamy. The paprika has upped by a single notch to give a kick, while the mango is almost completely gone. You swallow again, and go for another bite. This time it tastes most of mango and orange. You swallow and take another bite. And another. And another. And another, until it’s completely gone, as well as the ones that had previously surrounded you.
